What a fun story this was! A group of beings called Selenixies find themselves without their powers when the Crystal Fortress is destroyed. Through circumstances and events, they eventually find their way back to each other through different dimensions and ultimately regain their powers. A short book with a strong message of togetherness and friendship, my daughters and I read this together and really enjoyed it. They each enjoyed various parts, but both agreed that the Selenixies and their quest to find each other again was the highlight.

📖📖 Book Review 📖📖 What a wild and captivating adventure! While the characters are magical and on a fantastical journey, they are written in such a beautiful and relatable manner that readers of all ages will absolutely delight in this book. A creative and complex world with characters that encounter out of this world problems…yet woven throughout are absolutely beautiful and heartfelt themes readers will be empathetic towards and see themselves in. This is a great summer read to spark imagination in middle grade readers!

My Review:
I loved the opening of this book where the author introduces her world of the Selenixies to all the readers via a short poem and also the character summaries of each of the Selenixies in the books. The writing in this book is engaging to the readers with the premise of the Selenixies and the Mystics.
The very first chapter opens with Mystic Neoma having a vision about the Selenixies and the collapse. That very first chapter grabs you as a reader because then you want to know what happens after the collapse:) And then you get to meet Aura and find out what happens to Lumina.
The story is told from multiple POV's and from different characters as well. I loved the ending where everything works out for Lumina and also the book leaves open more of the story to more books;) I was pleasantly surprised because this was an interesting and unique read about a new world!
I recommend this book to fans of YA books and fantasy reads!
